Canvas Arts Action Programs (Canvas) is a registered charity based in Toronto
seeking dedicated volunteers to join a team of energetic and supportive members. Canvas provides empathy-based education on 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion and consent. We run workshops in schools, camps, community organizations, and workplaces. We envision a society in which all people are free to live authentically and have the tools to form safe, caring relationships. We know high- quality, proactive education is key to combatting queerphobia and sexual violence.
CANVAS’ Anti-Racism Committee (ARC)
CANVAS is committed to an overall anti-oppressive practice and allyship. As such, the organization has tasked the ARC to contribute to this goal in the following ways:
Developing and strengthening CANVAS’s programming and operations through an anti-racist lens
Reviewing organizational literature to ensure that policies and procedures are equitable for BIPOC team members
Strengthening partnerships with community organizations committed to anti-racist work
The ARC will:
Use an intersectional, anti-oppressive lens to analyze and assist with organizational decisions, initiatives, and literature
Coordinate opportunities and provide tools to foster individual and organizational accountability
Lead and create anti-racist Professional Development (PD) opportunities for staff
The data volunteer will support our Evaluation Coordinator with data entry and management. The volunteer will be a key support in ensuring our evaluation team can maintain records and evaluate the impact of Canvas’ youth 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion and Consent education programs.
This is a hybrid position. The volunteer will be required to come into the CANVAS office to pick up and drop off feedback forms. Data input can be carried out from the Canvas office or remotely based on the volunteer’s preference.
No experience needed!
As a Data Entry Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date evaluation records for our organization. Your attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data will contribute to the overall success of our operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, efficient, and has basic computer skills. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for education, inclusion data management, we encourage you to apply. This is a great opportunity for people to learn, as volunteers will have access to Canvas team trainings and events.

Salary: $1.00 per hour
