Job Description

MUST BE AVAILABLE FULL-TIME FOR AN $18/HR RATE OF PAY.

Reports to: Manager, Distribution, and Procurement  The Drivers are responsible for the delivery of products while ensuring that the vehicle is in good working order and the appearance is clean. The Driver is responsible for loading and unloading all provisions to each specified location.  Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out while adhering to all company policies and procedures. 

Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Load up the supplies securely on the racks for placement in the cooler and vehicle entrance, ensuring that the drop-off sequence is correct  
  • Ensure all deliveries are delivered to the correct location 
  • Always abide by all road rules, adjusting to conditions as needed 
  • Unload orders at each location, ensuring items are received by location staff 

Follow routes and time schedules 

  • Maintain cold chain for all perishables, ensuring all product is stored and transported at proper temperatures 
  • Adhere to Manitoba Food Safe requirements  
  • Execution of all cleaning checklists to ensure safe transport of goods  
  • Know and follow all Stella’s emergency and safety procedures  

Ensure that all food handling and general kitchen safety standards are maintained 

  • Maintain the picker/driver area is clean and organized before and after use  
  • Maintain a clean driving record and updated driver’s license and inform the manager immediately of license suspensions 
  • Exhibit personal uniform and personal hygiene per company standards  
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements 

  • Valid Manitoba driver’s license and clean driving abstract with annual submission for review required 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (22 kg) 
  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal & written
