Job Description

The Marketing Intern is responsible for producing marketing materials for all retail locations and the catering department.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create/maintain consistent campus-wide signage and ensure retail locations have appropriate menu signage in place each day.
  • Work with retail mangers to ensure that all planograms and merchandising is up to standards at all retail locations.
  • Customize and implement GroKit promotions or other promotions that come up through out the year.
  • Create monthly marketing and promotions calendar. Ensure that the calendar is followed and events outline and executed.
  • Dining Card ambassador (Participate in dining card promotional events and Participate in back to school (BBQ, Orientation, TRU Resource Fair, etc.).
  • Conducting and promoting weekly food tasting booths, student surveys & VOC engagement events.
  • Responsible for measuring the results of the marketing programs and gaining customer feedback.
  • Interact and building strong relationships with all levels of clients and customers, as well as, internal Aramark and TRU marketing teams to accomplish goals and objectives.
  • Working with the TRU ancillary marketing team to align our marketing goals and targets with there goals and targets.
  • Managing all social media channels (Instagram, & Facebook).
  • Influence in complex decision-making processes, as appropriately, pertaining to the marketing function.
  • Reply to emails as needed and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in any Marketing Conference call as weekly or bi-weekly marketing meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abillities
  • Strong communication skills required( both oral and written)
  • Effective sales and presentation skills
  • Have a high level of organizational skills and be able to multi task, and be driven to meet deadlines
  • Be highly motivated and willing to work independently
  • Goal driven
  • Available to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week and be flexible enough to work between classes
  • Must be a TRU Student that is enrolled in Tourism, or Business Program
